Many landlords do not seem ready for the changes ahead, as the rental housing market is undergoing significant shifts

The “system” that seemed stable at one time has now entered into a large transition since the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 (or RRA) will affect the rental property marketplace, including how landlords manage their rental properties (including handling tenancy issues), as well as complying with laws concerning tenants' rights.

Overall, the RRA will create a more equal and secure rental environment for renters, which places a new onus on landlords and their responsibilities. Reforms such as eliminating the “no fault” eviction (Section 21), providing stronger protection for renters, and increasing compliance with required standards may force landlords to modify their traditional methods for managing rental properties.

This will require not only tracking changes, but also understanding how to adjust without making costly errors on behalf of landlords.
